NATIVITY OF JOHN THE BAPTIST

Two retirees were talking about their failing memories. One of them said, “I can’t remember what day it is, much less where I left my keys.”  His friend, always an optimist, said, “Well, look at the bright side. This year we’ll be old enough to hide our own Easter eggs.”

Limitations come with advanced age. But for Zechariah and Elizabeth, God lifted the limitations. Elizabeth was beyond childbearing years. Yet the Angel Gabriel appeared to announce that Elizabeth would conceive a son they were to name John. With God all things are possible.
