25th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”  Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta wisely counsels, “Humility is truth. The path that will make us more like Jesus is the path of humility.” She goes on to say, “Humility is the mother of all virtues…It is in being humble that our love becomes real, devoted and ardent. If you are humble nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are. If you are blamed, you will not be discouraged. If they call you a saint you will not put yourself on a pedestal.”
