26TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is not worried about the man casting out demons by using Jesus’ name. He says, “Whoever is not against us is for us.”
But he is worried about those who impede the faith of believers. The Gospel becomes a stern warning not to stand in the way of those who have faith. If we lead them astray, we become candidates to have a heavy millstone tied to our necks and sent on a quick one way trip to the bottom of the sea.
