4TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

In the story from the Gospel today, Jesus invites us to understand who he is. When he announced, “This scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing,” his own townspeople rejected him and his claims.
“A Story That No One Can Beat” was the original title of Dr. Seuss’ first children’s book, renamed “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.” Seuss said he nearly burned the manuscript after it was rejected by 27 publishers. But his determination led to success, and today, 75 years later, they’re still printing his books and making movies about his characters.
Seuss overcame rejection and told his readers, “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”
